Ready or Not

verse 1:
I didn't want to go to work today,
but there's too many bills to pay.
I'm gonna play the lottery and learn to pray.
I pay my taxes, pay my dues.
I got  a bad case of the paycheck blues.
Thank god it's Friday afternoon!

chorus 1:
After work we're gonna party in the parking lot.
You say why and we say why not?
My truck's already sittin' in a real good spot.
That's how we roll... Ready or not.

verse 2:
The politicians all have pension plans,
don't give a damn about a working man.
Don't need no Ivy League to understand.
The cards are marked, the fix is in.
We got a vote but we never win!
Every couple of years, we got to do it again.

chorus 2:
After that we're gonna party in the parking lot.
You say why and we say why not?
You bring the beer and we'll bring the shots!
That's how we roll... Ready or not.

bridge:
The new millenium kids will have to carry the load.
When the bill comes due right up the road.

verse 3:
Some people say I've got an attitude,
they say I'm cranky, they say I'm rude.
But I'm not the only one, who's getting screwed!

chorus 3:
After that we're gonna party in the parking lot.
You say why and we say why not?
You bring the beer and we'll bring the pot!
That's how we roll... Ready or not.
